What is the difference between PTE Academic and PTE Core?
PTE Academic is accepted for Australia, NZ, USA, UK and most countries. PTE Core is specifically for Canadian permanent residence — it has a different format with no essay task and is accepted by IRCC Canada only.
What is PTE Academic UKVI and who needs it?
PTE Academic UKVI is required for UK visa applications including student visa (below degree level), skilled worker visa, and family visas. It uses the same exam format as PTE Academic but must be taken at a UKVI-approved center. In Nepal only Alfa Beta Institute and British Professional College offer UKVI.
Do I need PTE Academic or UKVI for UK university?
If you are applying to a degree-level programme (Bachelor, Master, PhD) at a UK university, you need PTE Academic. If below degree level (foundation, diploma, college), you need PTE Academic UKVI.
Which PTE exam do I need for Australia PR?
For Australia skilled migration you need PTE Academic. The required scores are: 65 overall for Proficient English (10 points) and 79 overall for Superior English (20 points), with per-skill minimums for each level.
